What is the ruling on lying to one's family in order to complete a marriage, and does anything result from that?

Your marriage is valid. You were not obliged to inform your parents or anyone else about how you met the girl. You could have used tawriya (ambiguity/equivocation) if asked. If you swore falsely, you must repent to Allah by abandoning the sin, regretting it, and resolving never to return to it. This is the predominant opinion, while some opine that an expiation for breaking an oath is necessary.
