Is it valid to recite Surat Al-Ikhlas after a single verse, rather than after the entire surah?

Reciting Surat Al-Ikhlas in every rak'ah after a full surah or after an ayah is permissible, especially if the intention is out of love for Allah the Almighty and His attributes. What supports this has been narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Moreover, scholars have explicitly stated the permissibility of combining two surahs or part of one surah with another in a single rak'ah, and similarly, it is permissible to recite Surat Al-Ikhlas before or after the (main) surah.
