A mature girl must cover her body from non-mahram men. Scholars differ on the age at which a woman must veil herself from immature boys. Some have set this age at ten years. Therefore, it is safer not to sit in front of a boy who has reached this age with your hair uncovered. As for mahram boys, it is permissible to uncover what is usually visible in front of them, regardless of their age. Mahrams are relatives with whom marriage is permanently forbidden, such as a brother, nephew, paternal uncle, and maternal uncle.
