Was Eve created from Adam, as indicated by the verse: (O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women)?

The verse, "O mankind," addresses all of humanity (Bani Adam). And His saying, "Fear your Lord," means worship Him, obey His commands, and avoid His prohibitions. "The One who created you from a single soul" refers to Adam, "and created from it its mate" means He created your mother Eve from one of his ribs. "And dispersed from both of them many men and women" means He spread forth from them many men and women.
