Is it considered hypocrisy, or does the description "And among the people is he who worships Allah on a [prekarious] edge" apply to one who returns to regular worship after their supplication, which they had despaired of, is answered, and they regret their shortcomings and their ill thoughts of Allah?

Regretting one's shortcomings in obedience to Allah and harboring ill thoughts towards Him is repentance, and repentance wipes away sin, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin." If you are determined to strive in obedience to Allah in all circumstances, we hope that you are not among those to whom the aforementioned verse applies.
