It is permissible for a man to specialize in medical imaging related to women if there are no sufficient female specialists to meet the community's needs. This specialization then falls under the same ruling as men specializing in all medical fields related to women. Therefore, it is permissible to view images that show parts of the 'awrah out of necessity and to the extent of the need, while observing Islamic guidelines. The money earned from this work is lawful. If the worker sins by looking at what is forbidden or by repeatedly looking without need, his sin is specific to his action, and the money is lawful because the work itself is permissible.
