The answer

Obeying one's father in bringing shisha or helping prepare it is not obligatory, because that is an act of disobedience and aiding in wrongdoing. Allah has forbidden cooperation in sin, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no obedience in disobedience to Allah; obedience is only in what is good." It is obligatory to be dutiful to one's father and accompany him with kindness, even if he commits sins, for Allah the Almighty said: "But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness." This should be done by advising him gently and kindly.
