How do I perform Salatul-Istikhara to know the result of my exams?

Seeking guidance (Istikhara) is recommended for every Muslim who intends to undertake a permissible act, and its method and supplication have been detailed previously. Istikhara is required when embarking on any permissible matter, but the desire to know whether a person will succeed or not is not a suitable occasion for it, unless one wishes to supplicate for success if it is good for them. The only means to success, after Allah's divine grace, is to observe Allah Almighty's obligations by performing His commands and avoiding His prohibitions, and then to diligently attend lessons and study.
