Is what the nieces do—calling their paternal uncle by his first name or a nickname, going too far in their joking, and interfering in his marital secrets—considered wrong and exceeding the Shar'i limits? Is it permissible for the paternal uncle and his nieces to be in seclusion in one room? Is it permissible for the nieces to recount their family problems to their paternal uncle?

It is forbidden for a husband to disclose the secrets of his marital bed with his wife, or any of her private secrets that she entrusted to him. However, anything that is not private to her, such as expenses, he may mention, especially if it requires consultation. The husband should respond to his wife's request to keep all their matters private that do not pertain to the rights of others, and he should not involve a third party unless necessary and with the consent of both parties. There is no harm for the husband in interacting with his brother's daughters; they are his mahram, and there is no harm in him being in seclusion with them unless there is suspicion. It is not permissible to accuse them without evidence, and excessive jealousy must be avoided.
