Did I commit a sin and leave Islam for not advising a vendor who used a newspaper containing the name "Abd Al-Hamid," especially since the paper was destroyed?

The use of newspapers containing the name of Allah in a manner that leads to its desecration is impermissible. The one who does so must be advised, and the religious ruling explained to them. Neglecting to offer advice is a shortcoming in enjoining good, but it does not constitute apostasy nor does it affect the marital bond. One must ward off whispers (waswas) and utilize time in seeking beneficial knowledge and fruitful work. It is incumbent to teach people and encourage them to glorify the rituals of Allah, and to explain that desecrating papers containing the majestic name of Allah contravenes the glorification of Allah's rituals and is forbidden by Islamic law. The proper course of action is to perforate these papers, burn them, or destroy them by tearing them up.
