Is it permissible to combine the intention for a four-rak'ah prayer after the sun's zenith and before the Dhuhr prayer with the intention of the Dhuhr sunnah and for a supplication to be answered, with a single tashahhud at the end of the fourth rak'ah and supplication during its prostration?

Scholars have differed regarding the four rak'ahs before Dhuhr prayer. Some consider them the Sunnah of Zawwal (midday), while others count them as the pre-Dhuhr regular Sunnah prayer. It is not permissible to combine the intention of performing Qiyam al-Layl (night prayer) with the regular 'Isha' Sunnah prayer. Supplication is recommended in all prostrations, and is not exclusive to the last prostration. Similarly, supplication is recommended between the Adhan and the Iqamah, due to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "The supplication made between the Adhan and the Iqamah is not rejected." The majority of scholars prefer separating every two rak'ahs with a Taslim, contrary to those who believe in praying them as four continuous rak'ahs, and that the word "four" does not imply continuous rak'ahs according to the majority.
