Why do Jews not proselytize their religion, despite Allah Almighty's saying in Surat Al-Baqarah: "And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their religion"?

The Jews love to be emulated and to be leaders of nations. This is evidenced by their regret over the change of the Qibla and their saying: "What has turned them away from their Qibla, which they used to face?" They also regretted the Muslims' disagreement with them regarding enjoyment of a menstruating woman without intercourse, and said: "This man does not want to leave anything of our matter except that he opposes us in it." Thus, the Jews and many Christian missionaries do not want people to enter their distorted religion, but rather they seek to make people their followers.
