What is the ruling on visiting tourist sites such as the pyramids and others as a tourist trip?

The best tourist journey that gladdens the heart, removes worry, fulfills needs, and for which Allah grants abundant rewards is a journey in seeking knowledge and inviting to Allah. If that is not possible, then spend from your wealth to sponsor students of knowledge and assist those who serve the religion of Allah. Allah the Almighty said: "The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills."
