Is the deceased tormented in his grave until the overdue Zakat upon him is paid?

This Ummah, among those who commit sins, will be tormented in their graves. Withholding zakat is one of the greatest sins that necessitate punishment in the grave. Giving zakat protects one from the trial and torment of the grave, whereas withholding it necessitates punishment. It is mentioned in the Hadith that zakat prevents the entry from the left side during the questioning in the grave. The overdue zakat of the deceased must be paid from their estate before its distribution, and paying it is a reason for alleviating their suffering.
