The answer

A person describing himself or another as being worthy of a certain matter has two possibilities: The first is that it could be an objection to Allah's decree, based on ill assumptions about Him. This is a grave misguidance that contradicts His (the Almighty’s) saying: "Indeed, Allah does not wrong the people at all, but it is the people who wrong themselves." The second possibility is that it could be a statement of fact, which is permissible if it is truthful and not merely flattery or testimony without knowledge, as supported by His (the Almighty’s) saying: "And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight, and the heart - all of these will be questioned."
