Does one become an infidel by challenging another to throw a religious book and another containing parts of the Qur'an and its interpretation, saying to him: "Throw them," while he does not want to throw them?

Disbelief does not occur through the aforementioned statement because it is interpreted as a challenge, and a statement that can carry more than one meaning does not render its speaker a disbeliever. The advisor and preacher should be characterized by gentleness and leniency, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah loves gentleness in all matters," and "Whoever is deprived of gentleness is deprived of all good," and "Indeed, Allah is gentle and loves gentleness. He gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness, and what He does not give for anything else." Allah Almighty commanded Moses and Aaron, peace be upon them, to speak gently to Pharaoh.
