1 min readAlso available in العربية

It is best to avoid anything doubtful in food, according to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Leave that which makes you doubt for that which does not make you doubt." However, what a person of the Book slaughters during their festival is not forbidden to eat unless it is known that it was consecrated to other than Allah. Some have said it is forbidden, and Sheikh Taqī al-Dīn chose its prohibition. Ibn Aqil said: "In my view, it would be carrion."
