The Quran is the word of Allah revealed to His Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, whose recitation is an act of worship. It is light and certainty, the methodology of the righteous. In it are stories of the ancients, verses that narrate Allah's miracles, an explanation of the origin of humanity, rulings concerning creed and Sharia, and the destiny of humanity in the Hereafter.

It is a healing for what is in the hearts, and a guidance and mercy for the believers, as Allah Almighty said: "And We send down of the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe, and it increases the wrongdoers not except in loss." (Al-Isra/ 82). The Quran heals from doubt, hypocrisy, polytheism, and deviation, and it increases the believers in faith and guidance. As for the disbelievers, it only increases them in distance and loss.

Allah has clarified that it is a guidance for the righteous and brings people out of error into truth, as in His saying: "This is the Book about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah." (Al-Baqarah/ 2). Whoever desires happiness in this world and the Hereafter must refer to it and act upon what is in it, for it is the fundamental reference that clarifies everything.
