What should a daughter do whose father has passed away, leaving her and her sisters an inheritance of agricultural lands in Upper Egypt, while her family's custom prohibits female inheritance, and her paternal aunts and her father's aunts never inherited before?

Preventing daughters from inheriting is forbidden. Efforts must be made to deliver the rightful share to its owners and convince the heirs of this, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The hand is responsible for what it took until it returns it." Therefore, the share of the father's paternal aunts and the questioner's two paternal aunts must be disbursed and given to them or their heirs, while seeking the help of scholars to convince the remaining heirs.
