What is the virtue of visiting the Sacred House and the Mosque of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace?

Al-Masjid al-Haram is the best of all mosques, followed by the Prophet's Mosque (peace be upon him), and then Al-Aqsa Mosque. Among the virtues of visiting these mosques is the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Journeys should not be undertaken except to three mosques: Al-Masjid al-Haram, this mosque of mine [the Prophet's Mosque], and Al-Aqsa Mosque," which indicates their special status. Furthermore, the rewards for prayer are multiplied in Al-Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet's Mosque, as he said: "Prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers in any other mosque, except Al-Masjid al-Haram." The visitor to the Prophet's Mosque is blessed by passing through the Rawdah, concerning which the Prophet said: "Between my house and my pulpit is a garden from the gardens of Paradise." And the visitor to Al-Masjid al-Haram enters Mecca, which is the most beloved of lands to Allah and His Messenger.
