ما هي المجالات السبعة للنذر؟

Vows are of seven types:

1. Vow of Lajaaj (obstinacy) and Anger: Its ruling is that of an oath. 2. Vow of Obedience and Righteousness: Committing to an act of obedience in exchange for a blessing or to avert a misfortune: It must be fulfilled if the act of obedience has a basis in legal obligation according to Sharia. Committing to an act of obedience without any condition: Its fulfillment is obligatory according to most scholars. Vowing an act of obedience that has no basis in legal obligation: Its fulfillment is obligatory. 3. Ambiguous Vow: An expiation is due for it according to most scholars, and it is the expiation for an oath. 4. Vow of Disobedience: It is impermissible to fulfill it by consensus, and an expiation for an oath is due for it according to some scholars, while others hold that no expiation is due. 5. Vow of Permissible Act: The one who vows is given the choice between performing it or abandoning it with an expiation for an oath. Some scholars are of the opinion that it is not binding. 6. Vow of an Obligatory Act: The vow is not binding. 7. Vow of an Impossible Act: It is not binding and does not necessitate anything.
