Is there a brief overview of Prophet Moses, peace be upon him?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
Moses, peace be upon him, is the son of Amram and one of the prophets of strong will. He was born during the time of Pharaoh of Egypt, who enslaved the Children of Israel and slaughtered their male children, after Pharaoh had a dream that the priests interpreted as foretelling the demise of his kingdom at the hands of a man from the Children of Israel. The Quran mentions Moses' story in detail, from his birth, his being cast into the river, his marriage, his message to Pharaoh, Pharaoh's destruction, the giving of the Tablets to Moses, and the story of the Samiri and the wandering.
