Did Moses's Pharaoh die as a Muslim? And in which sea did he drown?

Pharaoh died as a disbeliever (kafir), as indicated by the textual evidence. His statement, "I believe that there is no god except that in whom the Children of Israel believe," did not benefit him, because faith at the moment of witnessing destruction is not accepted. This is as stated in the Almighty's saying: "And repentance is not for those who do evil deeds until, when death approaches one of them, he says, 'Indeed, I have repented now.'" And the Almighty's saying: "And when they saw Our might, they said, 'We believe in Allah alone and we reject what we used to associate with Him.' But their faith did not benefit them when they saw Our might." The exegetes mentioned that Pharaoh did not utter the word of monotheism due to his stubbornness. The sea in which he drowned is the Red Sea or the Nile.
