Is seeing men in dreams and lacking desire for women a tribulation, and should one refrain from marriage to avoid wronging the wife in such a case?

A man's inclination towards another man contradicts Islamic law, reason, and natural human disposition. Whoever is afflicted with such an inclination must seek treatment for it. If this inclination is by his own will, he is accountable for it. If it is beyond his will, he is excused, but he must resist it and strive to be rid of it. This natural desire must be directed only towards women; whoever deviates from this has committed an ugly and forbidden act. Whoever has this inclination must treat himself decisively to eliminate his deviance. The prescribed Islamic treatment is marriage to women, as Lot (peace be upon him) told his people: "He said, 'O my people, these are my daughters; they are purer for you. So fear Allah'" (Hud: 78). Marriage is obligatory for whoever is able if he fears harm to himself and his religion. What one sees in a dream has no bearing; what matters is fearing Allah in wakefulness by not looking at men with lust and not deliberately avoiding marriage. What is seen in a dream is from the stratagems of Satan, and one should hasten to marry a righteous and beautiful woman to achieve chastity. It is recommended to supplicate frequently for Allah to purify the heart and limbs, make faith beloved, and make disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience hateful.
