The question

What is the ruling on my work as a technical manager in a company that collects invoices electronically, knowing that a small portion of the collected invoices pertains to services that include prohibitions (such as insurance companies and internet services containing music), and is it permissible to collect invoices using Visa cards issued by usurious banks?

The answer

Collecting the value of due invoices is permissible. However, the value of forbidden services, such as music and commercial insurance, is not Islamically due, and one must refrain from collecting it. The earnings obtained from collecting forbidden invoices are not good and must be disposed of by spending them on the welfare of Muslims or for the poor and needy. If the forbidden invoices are negligible, there is no objection to remaining in the work while being cautious of them as much as possible. The fact that some customers pay their invoices with a Visa card does not affect the ruling if the majority pay without it.
