Is continuing one's studies considered shirk if Satan whispers such, even though it is an obligation and I have pledged to Allah to strive in it?

Disregard these whispers [of doubt] and pay them no mind. Continue your permissible studies, out of dutifulness to your mother and in fulfillment of your promise. These whispers will not harm you. You worship none but Allah, and you are not committing shirk by continuing your studies.
