Is zakat obligatory on returned gold that does not exceed 85 grams, and is its zakat calculated separately or added to other assets?

Zakat is obligatory on gold if it reaches eighty-five grams or more and a year has passed on it. Saving it for marriage does not prevent the obligation of Zakat. Current banknotes are treated like gold, and gold is added to them to complete the Nisab.
