Is zakat obligatory on gold prepared for adornment if it does not exceed 85 grams? And can it be combined with money to pay zakat?

Scholars have differed regarding the zakat on gold intended for adornment, holding two opinions: the obligation of zakat on it if it reaches the nisab (85 grams) and a year has passed over it, and the non-obligation of zakat on it. The preponderant opinion is that zakat is not obligatory on it, and this is the view of the majority of scholars. However, paying it is more cautious, as it resolves the difference of opinion.

The hadith cited as evidence is from Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saw rings of silver on her hand and asked her: "Do you pay their zakat?" She replied: "No." He said: "It is enough for you of the Hellfire."

For whoever wishes to adopt the opinion that zakat is obligatory, and their gold does not reach the nisab, they should combine it with their other wealth. If the total reaches the value of 85 grams and a year has passed over it, then one-quarter of a tenth (2.5%) should be paid.
