Who is Ibn Abbas?

Ibn Abbas, the Ink of the Ummah and the Interpreter of the Qur'an, was keen on seeking knowledge and collecting hadiths from the Companions after the death of the Prophet, peace be upon him. He would even go to them himself and wait for them at their doors, despite his status. This diligence and effort in seeking knowledge made him a reference for people later on, to the extent that the man who initially rebuked him said, "This young man is more intelligent than I am."
