The known as "Salman's hadith concerning the Prophet's sermon during his Hajj while he was holding the Kaaba's door ring" is a fabricated and forged hadith. Its fabricator combined two elements in its composition: First, he included some signs that had appeared during the time the hadith was fabricated (the second century Hijri and thereafter), such as the lengthening of pulpits, infatuation with young boys, and swearing by divorce. Second, he incorporated texts from other authentic hadiths about the signs of the Hour, such as the spread of trade, the proximity of markets, believing the liar and disbelieving the truthful, competing in building tall structures, a slave woman giving birth to her mistress, and the adornment of mosques.
