What is your opinion on young people who enter into religion with fervor and hasten to apply the Sunnah and Islamic dress, then turn into adversaries and disputants with their families and companions, and view the abandonment of any Sunnah as a sin and an act of disobedience?

A young man embracing religion with vigor, striving to learn fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), growing a beard, shortening his garment, and adhering to the minutiae of the Sunnah (Prophet's tradition) is a commendable act, consistent with Allah's saying: "O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims" (Quran 3:102), and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "A youth who grew up in the worship of Allah." However, his transformation into a contentious and argumentative person with his family and friends, and his belief that anyone who neglects any Sunnah has committed a sin and a transgression, contradicts the teachings of religion and constitutes extremism within it. This is supported by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "I guarantee a house in the outskirts of Paradise for whoever abandons disputing, even if he is in the right."
