What is the story of Abdullah ibn Haram with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when the infidels killed him?
Al-Tirmidhi narrates that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, met Jabir in a state of distress after his father's martyrdom at Uhud. He (the Prophet) gave him the glad tidings that Allah Almighty had spoken to his father directly, without any veil, and offered him his wishes. So he wished to return to the world to be killed in His path once again, but Allah informed him that he would not return. And regarding this, the verse descended: (And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision.) This has been graded as (good) by Al-Tirmidhi, Al-Mundhiri, and Al-Albani.
