What must a woman do who swore a false oath in court to obtain alimony, even though her husband was not negligent in providing for her, and she has since returned to her home?

The false oath (al-Yamin al-Ghamus) is a grave sin that plunges its maker into Hellfire, because it is used to unlawfully seize the property of a Muslim, and the one who takes it is a liar. The one who has taken such an oath must repent and seek forgiveness. According to the majority of scholars, there is no expiation (kaffarah) required for it. The property taken by means of the false oath must be returned to its owner, or its value if the property itself is unavailable, unless the owner forgives the debt.
