What should one do if they feel an aversion to prayer, so they seek refuge [with Allah] and ask for forgiveness?

To overcome laziness in prayer and the whispers of Satan, continue to seek refuge with Allah Almighty, for He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing, who grants refuge to whoever seeks it with Him, as in His saying: (And if there comes to you from Satan an evil suggestion, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing).

Also, be mindful of the gravity of abandoning prayer or being negligent in it, for it is the greatest pillar of the religion after the two testimonies of faith, and abandoning it is disbelief.

Finally, be keen on keeping company with righteous companions and staying away from those who are negligent in prayer.
