What is the ruling on working for foreign companies that enter the country where the questioner resides?

Working in foreign companies is permissible if their operations do not involve anything forbidden by Islamic law, such as usurious dealings or the sale or manufacture of prohibited items. This is evidenced by the dealings of the Companions with the Jews. As for companies that deal in forbidden things, one must avoid working for them, as it involves assisting in sin, due to Allah's saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression" (Quran 5:2) and because of the curses invoked upon the one who consumes usury, the one who feeds it, its scribe, and its two witnesses.
