Is it permissible to pray in clothes stained with mosquito blood?
The blood of mosquitoes, fleas, and the like is considered pure by some scholars, while others believe it is obligatory to wash it if it spreads and becomes abundant. As a precautionary measure, the garment stained with it should be washed before prayer to avoid the disagreement among scholars. In Ibn Qudamah's "Al-Mughni," there are two narrations regarding the blood of an animal that has no flowing blood: one is that it is pure, and the other is that Ahmad found it alarming if it was abundant, and Malik held that it should be washed if it was abundant and widespread. Al-Nawawi, in "Al-Majmu'," was of the opinion that prayer is not valid with a garment that has a lot of flea blood on it.
