The cure for obsessive thoughts is to turn away from them, ignore them, and not indulge in them or discuss them. Rather, one should say, "I believe in Allah," and then cease the obsessive thoughts. Obsessive thoughts do not harm a servant as long as he is not pleased with them and does not incline towards them.
