Is it permissible to have sexual intercourse during the days of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha and the days immediately following them?

Sexual intercourse on the day of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr, or on the days that follow, is permissible. The basic principle is the permissibility of a man enjoying his wife at all times, with the exception of what has been prohibited, such as intercourse during i'tikaf (seclusion in a mosque), ihram (definition) (ritual state for pilgrimage), fasting, menstruation, or in the anus. Anything outside these exceptional cases remains subject to the original principle of permissibility.
