Is there anything that invalidates a previous repentance that met all conditions and was free of impediments? And will a servant be held accountable for a sin after repentance? And does entertaining negative thoughts about Allah affect repentance and past deeds? And what is the difference between not returning to a sin and resolving not to return to it in the future, according to the words of Muhammad ibn Salih ibn Uthaymin?

If a servant repents with sincere repentance, it erases their past sins, and they become as one who has no sin, according to the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The one who repents from sin is like one who has no sin." The sin from which they repented does not return to them, even if they return to that sin; rather, only the sin to which they returned is recorded against them. If a servant returns to a sin after repenting, their first repentance is not invalidated; rather, they must repent a second time for their second transgression.
