How does a Muslim justly apply Islamic Sharia to a multi-religious population, such as Christians and Jews, in a country like Egypt, while observing the rights of all and applying Islamic rulings to non-Muslims in cases of violations, following the example of the Prophet’s (peace be upon him) treatment of non-Muslims during his era?

"Enjoinments that non-Muslims do not believe to be unlawful are not subject to hudud punishments if committed by them, unlike those they do believe to be unlawful, such as theft and adultery. This demonstrates a facet of the Sharia's consideration for their beliefs, in addition to their right to refer to their own laws in matters of personal status. This general system does not contradict what humanity has customarily agreed upon in the constitutions of states that impose their respect upon all their citizens. Muslims, however, must have a constitution based on their Sharia, one that does not contradict it."
