Is he who saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a dream and died believing in him considered a Companion (Sahabi)?

The scholars defined a Companion (Sahabi) as one who met the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, believing in him, and died upon that faith. What is meant by "met him" is having met and seen him during his lifetime. As for one who saw him in a dream, he does not fall under the designation of a Companion.
