Is the exposure of awrah to a trustworthy Muslim doctor for a third intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) procedure, after having given birth to two daughters and the husband's strong desire for more children, considered among the necessities that permit such exposure?

The basic rule is that it is impermissible to expose the awrah (private parts) except out of necessity or a religiously recognized need, such as procreation. If this necessitates a surgical procedure, then there is no objection to it. In performing the surgery, a female doctor should be given precedence over a male, and a Muslim over a non-Muslim. If there is no skilled female doctor available, even if non-Muslim, and a male performs the surgery, he must not be allowed to be in seclusion with the woman; her husband or mother must be present.
