Is a wife considered to be in a state of postpartum bleeding (nifas) or irregular bleeding (istihada) after miscarrying a fetus that had formed hands, feet, a nose, eyes, and ears, even though the doctor mentioned that it had not completed three months? And does formation (takhalluq) necessitate the ensoulment (nafkh ar-ruh)?

"Abortion blood is considered nifas (postnatal bleeding) if the fetus is formed, as Sheikh Ibn 'Uthaymeen stated. Blood that appears before the fetus is formed is not considered nifas, unless it coincides with the woman's usual menstrual period. Fetal formation does not necessarily entail the insufflation of the soul; the soul is breathed into the fetus after four months, as mentioned in the agreed-upon hadith of Ibn Mas'ud, and as agreed upon by scholars."
