In addition, there are the works of the Sufis themselves, from ancient times such as Al-Kallabadi's "Al-Ta'arruf li Ahl Al-Tasawwuf" (Understanding the School of the People of Sufism), and Al-Kashani's "Mu'jam Istilahat Al-Sufiyah" (Lexicon of Sufi Terms), and among contemporary authors, Hassan Al-Sharqawi's "Mu'jam Alfaz Al-Sufiyah" (Lexicon of Sufi Expressions).
