Is it permissible to hold the Mus-haf and follow the Imam during Tarawih prayers?

It is not appropriate for the congregant to hold the Mushaf behind the Imam unless the Imam needs someone to open the Mushaf for him, because doing so distracts the mind from reflection and listening, and causes one to miss the Sunnah of placing the right hand over the left on the chest.
