What is the ruling on students injecting each other with saline solution for the purpose of learning how to perform allergy tests?

Therapeutic injections do not break the fast, unless they are nutritive, such as vitamins and intravenous fluids. The resolution of the Islamic Fiqh Academy stipulated that therapeutic injections do not break the fast, with the exception of nutritive fluids. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymin affirmed that injections into the muscle or vein do not break the fast, because they are neither food nor drink, nor do they carry the same meaning. Therefore, an allergy test involving the injection of saline solution under the skin does not break the fast.
