Who is Ahmed Mohamed Shakir, and what are his most important works and investigations?
Ahmad Shakir is the esteemed scholar and master Abu Al-Ashbal. He was born in Cairo in 1309 AH (1892 CE). He studied in Sudan, then Alexandria, and Al-Azhar, earning the Al-Alamiyyah degree in 1917 CE. He worked in teaching and the judiciary, enriching the Islamic library with his valuable critical editions of foundational books such as: "Al-Risalah" by Al-Shafi'i, "Al-Jami'" by Al-Tirmidhi, "Musnad Imam Ahmad," "Mukhtasar Sunan Abi Dawud," " Ibn Hibban," "Alfiyyah Al-Suyuti," "Al-Ba'ith Al-Hathith," and "Al-Ihkam fi Usul Al-Ahkam." He abridged " Ibn Kathir" in the book "Umdat Al-Tafsir," participated in the Hadith authentication of "Tafsir Al-Tabari," and critically edited "Lubab Al-Adab" and "Sharh Al-Aqidah Al-Tahawiyyah." He passed away in 1377 AH (1958 CE).
