What is the ruling regarding a man remaining with his wife or divorcing her when he suspects her of having an affair, but there is no evidence to incriminate her?

It is not permissible to accuse a Muslim without evidence, and the default assumption is their innocence and good character. We advise the husband not to divorce his wife unless suspicion arises, and to think well of her and live with her kindly. The husband must uphold his right of guardianship over his wife, close the doors to discord, establish Allah's limits in his home, and cooperate with her in obedience, for that is a protection from what is unlawful and a safeguard from trials.
