What is your guidance and advice for someone who lost his mother two years ago and feels loneliness, alienation, and intense sadness, and constantly thinks about death and what comes after it?

Death is something Allah has decreed for every soul, and a calamity regarding it is nothing compared to a calamity regarding one's religion. Patience in the face of calamities is an act of worship that draws one closer to Allah. The affair of the believer is always good; if good befalls him, he gives thanks, and if adversity befalls him, he is patient. It is proper etiquette when afflicted by a calamity to say: "Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return." Feelings of loneliness and alienation are among the devil's insidious whisperings, and one should not allow them to take hold. Instead, one should busy oneself with remembrance of Allah. The calamity of the Ummah at the loss of the Messenger is greater than any other calamity.
