The answer

Formulas of supplication have been reported that include the Greatest Name (al-Ism al-A'dham), which, if Allah is asked by it, He grants. Among these is the supplication of the man whom the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, heard saying: "O Allah, I ask You, by virtue of my testimony that You are Allah, there is no god but You, the One, the Self-Sufficient (al-Ahad, as-Samad), Who begot not, nor was begotten, and there is none comparable to Him." Similarly, there is the supplication of Anas ibn Malik: "O Allah, I ask You, for to You belongs all praise, there is no god but You, the Giver of all good (al-Mannan), the Originator of the heavens and the earth, O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, O Ever-Living, O Sustainer (Ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram, Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum), I ask You." No hadith has been reported that prohibits teaching the Greatest Name to the foolish.
